YES! The work is finally out! I had the great honor to focus on proof-reading the set of scientific articles written by professors of the field of educational psychology during the past few months. This is my first official Persian-English work from the series including two large works. And I took great joy in seeing the quarterly journal published. I take this opportunity to invite you to send me your proof-reading or translation works from Farsi to English or vice-versa so that we can create a valuable database of translations! ;-) If you are an expert, a university student, or just interested, you are more than welcome to contact me regarding proof-reading of this scientific journal. Please email me at bamshad@bamshad.com

Today I spent some great time with my friends in a trip to a beautiful place called “Aahaar”, which is located south of a city called “Ghadar” in province of Tehran. The small river always roaring along our path was the key factor in making this green environment much more beautiful. We passed through gardens that had in them Cherry trees with lots of white blossoms. I like the white blossoms specially because to me they are a symbol of spring. Today, being Friday, Farvardin 30th, 1387 and the end of the first month of spring was a great chance to see beauty in close-up. My friends and I had some splashing moments in the river, and set up a small fire in a safe place, barbecuing our chicken breasts and wings and had great time talking and playing simple traditional games, while laughing and making smart fun of the ordinary life. Many thanks to my friends who made this possible!

                                     Depression

How To Deal With Sorrow and Sadness
by Jeff Cohen

Hang around with friends and loved ones. Depressed individuals need support very much. Other people can distract one from stressors. People can also remind a depressed individual that there can be more to life, and it is worth living even if it is simply because of the company of wonderful people.

Lastly, it is important to believe in oneself. A lot of people get depressed because they put themselves down. It is important to satisfy oneself and gain a sense of self-worth. It is good to do something that would make one happy. Prioritizing one’s self can help one to believe that one’s own life is important and can be enjoyed. Being kind to oneself is one of the most important steps to get away from a depressive state.

Depression management is possible and entails taking charge of one’s self. When dealing with depression however, it is important not to rush. Sadness does not disappear overnight; it takes time to get back on one’s feet. Little by little, one can get out of depression and have a normal life once more.

                                       Depression

How To Deal With Sorrow and Sadness
by Jeff Cohen

While the term depression has been commonly used that people tend not to take it seriously anymore, it is a very serious condition that could impair one’s life. Depression is very difficult. It can debilitate one’s normal functions, making even the most mundane tasks such as getting up from bed or eating breakfast seemingly difficult. It is sad to think that a lot of depressed individuals are not treated because of the high costs of therapy. However, coping with depression is still possible without professional help if one knows depression management. Here are a few things that can help people deal with depression, it is important to note however, that professional therapy is still very invaluable with serious depression. These steps are just suggestions for alleviating the condition.

Staying active is one way to take one’s mind off depression. Primarily, activities help distract people from whatever it is that is causing their depression and it also helps channel unspent energies that build up when one is depressed. Keeping active also releases endorphins – natural mood boosters that somehow cheer people up.

It is also important to take a rest. Being depressed can be very exhausting, so it is essential to regain strength and energy if one is to deal with depression. Relaxation techniques can help one be more attuned to the self and be more at peace. When resting, stressors should be kept away from the bedroom so that ample rest can be obtained.

Depressed people should also express their emotions. Depression usually results from suppressed emotions. People who are grieving can be prone to depression if they keep their emotion to themselves. A lot of people avoid crying because they think it might be a sign of weakness. However, it is important to cry because it releases one’s emotions. When expressing feelings, it is important to avoid catharsis – venting up one’s anger by doing something violent like boxing, smashing things, and the like. Catharsis does not release one’s emotion, especially anger. Rather, it makes a person practice violence as an expression of emotion, and thus can be very dangerous.

To let go…

Through years that pass, we become the chained prisoners of our shaped-up and already-structured feelings that define our surroundings. Seeing this, I ask myself a question: how do we let go of the often wrong emotions that hold our being in their hands, in their existence? I am sure escape and victory are possible when we become spiritually determined to realize that life is much more rational than we can describe through words and that it is not exactly working in the way we thought it was. I believe life has a powerful rationale, so expanded in fact that through our ignorance all we see is its harsh changes, which we then have difficulty accepting into our lives, if not rejecting them entirely. However, through its logic, life itself is not fearful of embracing new suggestions to change, be it by its people or by the mysterious complex laws that govern it because the rationale is a master one. Life adapts easily to change because as the master, He is wise and accepting. And so must we. And through all this we should learn the lesson and see the purpose of change just as life has. I believe breaking the chains of half-irrational feelings and then embracing change while understanding it brings great peace to our lives. Take me for instance: looking at the past I realize that I’ve been the holder of wrong feelings in hundreds of areas in my unconscious and still become exhausted at points by carrying the burdens, more or less like everyone else. But to come to peace with the new beautiful world and to become wiser, I should, in a more relaxed way, let go and understand the hidden kindness behind every hard change brought to personal and private lives. I should let go of hard feelings regarding relationships. I should let go of narcism, anger, disrespect, unhappiness, and lack of effort to discover the world. I should let go of worries about society, which of course are very common where I live. I should let go of not wanting to understand other people’s ways and not wanting to realize that unity and love are in every place in life. Hence, I am very eager to achieve this: unchaining myself, and others if I have the chance, from the burdens of the mind, and surfing the waves of life’s fresh beauties through its changes . To consciously let go, I need more adaptability and universal logic, just like those beautiful minds who know what they are doing in life and help others achieve the valuables. ;-)

image-by-natashalatras-on-flickr.jpgThere is a great place on the Net I have found, which is very popular actually, where you can take scientific tests and find out valuable things about your different life and personality aspects.

I find them extremely useful. Let’s not forget that these guys certainly get a lot of benefits by you and I taking the tests, because they can analyze the validity of these scientific tests. But to my knowledge, everything they have told me so far about my results have been scientific and extremely valuable. So I am very happy about having had an opportunity to take them. I learned a lot of things.

Here are the recent tests I have taken. The Site is http://web.tickle.com/

The Freud Test

The Confidence Test

The Brain Test

The Relationship IQ Test

The Attraction Factor Test

Right Job/Wrong Job Test
http://web.tickle.com/rd/53516/tests/rightjob/

I plan to learn more about my life by taking psychological tests and becoming more familiar with what impacts me and my success most. So I think this is just one of the great ways!

If you decide to get involved with taking these tests, please add me to your list of friends when you open an account so we can be in touch. ;)

Cheers
