“The greatest courage on earth is to bear defeat without losing HEART.”

“The only thing in this world that always stays the same is change itself.”

“People change and forget to tell each other.”

“Love is the greatest feeling you will ever have, yet it is also one of the greatest sorrows. There is so much suffering, but then there are times when the crying, pain, and heartache is worth it. Those moments are perfect, they are right. Those moments make all the suffering worth while. It’s those moments we should live for.”

Light of Wisdom

“Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies, nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honour. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed.”

Proverbs 3:13-18

Norooz

// Year 7030 Mitrayi (Ariyayi) OR Year 3746 Zatoshti OR Year 2567 Shahanshahi OR Year 1387 Hijri Khorshidi //

Dear friends,

God’s world of creation stepped into a new season here, tempting us all once more to experience the beautiful wise world with hearts full of happiness and joy and to start afresh once more. Please allow me to reflect on my appreciation for the year past, which is mostly about social and personal trusts. I would like to put this in a series of thank yous, which I believe is the best way to show my appreciation. Thank you all my good friends for being yourself, being so unique that I felt better by being around you. Thank you for showing me a lot of things.

For me, the last year was full of productivity in social, family, economical, psychological, and education aspects. Thank you all who made it possible for me, particularly my family. Thanks to all whom I danced with, shared laughs with, listened to music with, walked and talked with, and basically shared great moments with.

In the new year I wish you all tons of energy, beautiful healthy enjoyments, economical strength and wealth, broader understanding of the universe and useful knowledge, life skills, friendship and passion for what you do, light and unity, bright smiles, and most important of all, satisfaction.

May your every new day be a full experience, a Norooz…

Cheers,

Fire Photos To Celebrate Persian “Last-Wednesday-of-the-Year”

The ancient Iranians who thought of fire as a tangible earthly thing to respect on behalf of purity, light, and wisdom, used to celebrate the last winter Wednesday, before the beginning of the new Persian calendar year. The celebration has many fun elements, the most important of which is jumping over safe small fires; of course this is what is done today in the society.

Being a Persian and having respect for many of the good aspects of the ancient Persian culture, I thought I find some nice photos of fire and put them here. At this time I don’t have clear photos for this celebration in today’s society, which is mostly restricted due to safety reasons. I personally love this celebration, called Char-Shanbe-Soori.

The Story of the Schools of Thought (Part 1), A Comedy

This is just a story.

Part 1: The beginnings

Once upon a time , there was one major school of thought, named “Ushakhlarism”*. The master of this school of thought, M.J. Was a generous man who had named his school of thought after the respect and honor he always liked to give his friends and pals. His ideas were so intense and full of thought that soon began to attract many who were around him but also caused competition. You see, two other schools of thoughts were soon established. Some said that these were branches of Ushakhlarism, coming to existence due to the huge impact of the original school of thought and the extended demand for more detailed guidelines and principles in life. And some passed the story on that Master M.J. had faced two of his great friends in a combat who had defeated him, requesting to join in the profit he was making on his school. Be it due to morality and peace, or business and war, all we now know is that there were three schools of thought, all surviving peacefully next to each other and earning valuable market share among friends and the like. These were, “Ushakhlarism” by Master M.J. as we mentioned, plus “Velism”** run by professor K.L., and “Yaralism”*** lead by Doctor-Engineer M.S.

It was not too long before an excited open-minded happy camper named Bob was introduced to Ushakhlarism and ultimately to Velism. As the market share of Yaralism was limited or at least not known to him, he became more inclined to stick with what he had learned and gain insight and understanding on Ushakhlarism and then a bit about Velism under the sincere guidance and the expert advise of Master M.J and professor K.L. He was promised that Ushakhlarism will soon dominate the entire world – or maybe not. Soon, Bob was granted the title “The Fourth Messenger” because you see Master M.J. had three other very important messengers in his campus already. Anyway, Bob started distributing the message of Ushakhlarism to his friends, which was about friendship and happiness. He boasted about being the fourth messenger and was very happy. Bob was told several times by Master M.J. that the necessary instructions and data will be provided to him by means of telepathy, one of the most modern approaches in transferring of information. So Bob was usually at a state of “waiting”. One day Bob decided to contact Master M.J. through brain-waves because he had a major question about the instruction distribution policies and as we know, time flies! But the more he tried to log-in the more confused everything seemed. At first he thought that the lines are busy but then he realized that the whole thing has been a conspiracy. What a shocking conclusion! And that was the beginning of a new era! The era of… “Self-eshghism”****.

[TO BE CONTINUED]

* Ushakhlarism is an invented name by Master M.J. In Azerbaijan provinces, north west of Iran, Ushakhlar is a word used for “friends and pals”.

** Velism is an invented name by Professor K.L., which is derived from “Vel” meaning “Those who have let go”.

***Yaralism is an invented name by Doctor-Engineer M.S., coming from Turkish-Iranian meaning something like “The Injury from Friends”

**** Self-eshghism, is a combination of two words: Self (the English word Self), and Eshgh (The Persian word for Love).
