Bamshad says I’m handsome! I think he’s right. Aren’t I?

I did mention that it is important to keep track of your own progress. I believe this is the most important responsibility a person has. When a person thinks of himself, loves himself, does what is best for him (of course considering that it is moral) he is doing the best in the society. He in fact is offering a role model for the others. He is offering love to those who know him, because he finds it his moral responsibility to tell them what may come of a not-so-good decision, simply because his way of thinking is just and right.
So we have to learn what is right for us and how to do it best. I have learned that to love others, you should love yourself most. Then you start thinking about wise solutions that make living better. You know, a lot of prophets and wise-men made large establishments that fullfilled their materialistic and holistic needs as well as other peoples needs and wants. I believe this is the right meaning of praising the lord: To be good and to set the environment so that others can enjoy and benefit from it too.
Right now I am concentrating on my own needs, and I think I will be in the future, before thinking of anyone else. Does this mean I am a bad person? I don’t think so, because I don’t want to hurt anyone by being good and I don’t want to cause pain and misery when achieving my goals.
What is your idea?
All the best,
Bamshad
Keyvan has been in the U.S. since he was 5. His major is Middle-Eastern studies with a Farsi minor at the university of Arizona. I met him at Allame University. He who’d come here for a visit will be returning to the U.S. shortly. I asked him if it is possible for him to come to our “Dialogs” class on Monday, 31st of Ordibehesht (May 22nd, 2007) and talk to the students. We’d be more than happy to hear his viewpoints on the university system and possibilities of student contacts with U of A (University of Arizona).
So get those questions coming for him. Feel free to post your comments as we will forward them to him. It’s a great opportunity to find out more about a new dimension of life in our linguistics studies.
I had heard that children who learn two or more languages at an early age face difficulties and suffer various problems as a result of collision of two unknown languages and cultures. The article presented here by an expert is a proof that such claim seems incorrect unless specific conditions apply. Interested? Read the following article .

http://linguistlist.org/ask-ling/biling.html Question: Can my new baby learn two or more languages at home? Answer provided by Deborah D.K. Ruuskanen, Professor of English Linguistics, University of Vaasa, Finland. Yes. It is entirely possible to teach an infant two or even three languages, and four is not unheard of. In Europe, a great many toddlers learn four languages with little or no difficulty. The main requirements for this learning are: the parents speak only their mother-tongue to the child; the child has some reason to learn the languages (motivation); and there is reinforcement of some kind for these languages, preferably outside the home. If the language of the environment is a third language, then the child will easily learn the third language once they start playing with neighbourhood children. Parts of the article:
Problems will arise when the child starts playing with neighbourhood children who do not speak the language the parent is trying to teach them. This is the stage when a lot of parents give up. The child does not want to be ‘different’ from their playmates, and speaking a ‘foreign’ language certainly makes you different. If the parent refuses to answer the child, or to give them what they want until they ask for it in the parent’s ‘own’ language, the process of learning the language will continue. Some parents make an agreement to talk to the child in the language of the playmates when the playmates are around, and the ‘home’ language when only family is ‘home’: personally I think this does not work well. The problems will increase when the child starts kindergarten. The parent must keep speaking only their ‘own’ language with the child, or the child will lose the language. I learnt more about a famous MTV show-owner when in Canada. He has a very interesting life story and one of the things he does is sending emails of words of wisdom to the people on his email list every morning (considering that he has been a priest at one time in his life). This is how he is doing his share in making the world a better place. I have enrolled in his progam and I enjoy new thoughts whenever I check my email. But I won’t be able to use it free forever since there is some payments involved after a certain period of time. You can join his email list at RevsWordsOfWisdom
Here are some his words of Wisdom:
The power of choice – Words of Wisdom – May 2nd, 2007
Good morning. In the beginning, God brought Adam every beast of the field
and told him to name them. After Adam named them, that was the name
thereof! Life brings us situations, sometimes, just to see what we will
name them. If something or someone lands on your plate that you dislike,
you have the power to name it good or bad. Lemons or lemonade. Roadblock
or stepping-stone….(Remember!) The power is in your hands! Rename some
people, places and things today!!!! ![]()

Experience life fully – Words of Wisdom – May 1st, 2007
Good morning. He who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is
nothing, becomes nothing. True wealth is the ability to fully experience life!
Take a risk! Enjoy life! ![]()

Ask – Words of Wisdom – April 30th, 2007
Good morning. Asking is the proof that you’ve conquered pride. In most
cases, asking causes us to become humble. You didn’t get into the program
you’re interested in??? Reapply!!!! (Remember!!!) Ask Ask Ask!!!!! Ask
God, ask people, ask whoever!! Asking keeps you humble. And that’s what
God wants… Ask!!!!!!! ![]()

Words of Wisdom – April 25th, 2007
Good morning. A word to the wise: Never take a persons dignity: it is
worth everything to them, and nothing to you.

Persistence – Words of Wisdom – April 24th, 2007
Good morning. There is a story in the bible of an unjust king who said
no to EVERYTHING that was asked of him. There was a woman in town who
came to the palace gates EVERY day asking for what she wanted.. Finally
the unjust king screamed to his servants “Give this woman what she wants
lest she drives me crazzy”. (Here’s the point!) Persistence overcomes
resistance. God never denies a soul that travels as far as heaven to ask
for it .. Never give up!! If the back door is closed, try coming
through the side entrance! ![]()
