My visit to the Library of University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada)

Walking into the library I found myself facing a pool of mostly-Canadian students of roughly my age. They were talking happily in groups of two or three with their voices filling the atmosphere. It helped me understand how pleasant the joyous pumping of fresh blood of competition in and out of the heart is to me and my world. It taught me lessons of having good times while learning.

I searched for common grounds with them and I found that I too can join a pool of professional graduates one day. I found that there is nothing better about them or me when I stick to the basic human-laws and understand my value.

The library has many interesting dimensions, one of which is the fact that it has more than 450 powerful computers that allow students access to Internet and MS-Office applications as well as any other legal internet program. Another very interesting point was that all 5 library floors have carrels for students to quietly work on the university researches and readings. You would be amazed how quiet these floors are while the students are focusing on their work. Many of them have laptops. The library has many technology features that allow easier work and higher performance by the students. I recommend that you take a look at the library Website at http://www.lib.uoguelph.ca/

I spent about 5 hours of my time, this Thursday, March 29, 2007 in the library and mostly in front of a computer searching the reference books and all the goodies available only to the students of University of Guelph.
